These are separate services. A provider may offer all three, but each needs its own agreed responsibilities.

This guide helps research businesses choose which work to handle themselves and which work to ask a provider about. These are common meanings, not fixed contract terms. Get the details of your arrangement in writing.

Supply: where inventory comes from

A supply arrangement concerns the inventory your business obtains. It does not automatically include your label, a website or order dispatch. Ask who owns the inventory, who stores it and how your team learns what is available.

If you hold the inventory yourself, plan who receives it, keeps the records and prepares orders. If a provider holds it, agree how stock updates reach your storefront.

White label: whose brand the buyer sees

White label commonly means using your brand on the label or packaging. Ask whether the work includes design, printing and label application. These are separate steps with separate approvals.

Confirm who owns the artwork files and who approves the final version. Do not assume white label includes a new website or review of all your marketing copy.

Fulfillment: what happens after an order

Fulfillment may include receiving order details, picking inventory, packing and dispatch. Ask what confirms that an order was received and how a correction or duplicate is handled.

Dropshipping usually means the seller takes the order while another business sends it. That can overlap with fulfillment. The term alone does not tell you who owns inventory or answers the buyer.

Agree who handles each task

Use the worksheet below before launch. Give each task one main owner. If a responsibility is unresolved, keep it open rather than assuming both sides understand it.

Then describe the agreed work in your marketing. Avoid promising an automatic connection between systems until that connection is agreed and checked. The FTC reviews the overall impression of an advertisement, not just a service name. Read its advertising overview.

Discuss your business needs

Visit Scale Peptides to explore its advertised service categories. Then request access to The Next Lab portal with your completed task list. Ask which services can be offered; do not assume every task is included. Access remains subject to review.
